Each year, Physical Therapy Associates sponsors, participates, and is actively involved in a variety of Spokane community events and activities. These events all share one thing in common – they have a goal of bettering the community in which we serve. PTAssociates is proud to be a partner in these events.
Lewis & Clark and Ferris High School Athletics
Physical Therapy Associates has proudly assisted in serving the needs of the Lewis and Clark High School athletic department since 1980. We have logged hundreds of hours providing on the field coverage for sport related injury and rehabilitation. Physical Therapy Associates also has a long standing relationship with Ferris High School as two of our Physical Therapists and owners are Ferris Alumni. Physical Therapy Associates employs a Certified Athletic Trainer at both LC and Ferris to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate sports injuries. By having a Certified Athletic Trainer at each school student athletes receive immediate care and treatment for their injuries which allows for a decreased rehabilitation time.

Summer Parkways
Spokane Summer Parkways is an idea inspired by an event in Bogota, Colombia called Ciclovia (meaning “bike path” in Spanish) and similar events in other parts of the world. The focus is on recreation, fitness, and community when 4 miles of roadway is closed to automobiles and open up the streets to bikes, pedestrians, skaters, and other human-powered transportation.
Physical Therapy Associates has enjoyed being a community vender since 2010.
Active 4 Youth
“At Active4Youth, we believe that by teaching sports and introducing healthy activities to children at a young age, we can begin to address the alarming rise of childhood obesity while providing children with a safe place to play after school.”
Active4Youth was founded in 2005 by Mike and Heidi Bresson to revive the elementary sports programs in Spokane Public Schools that were eliminated due to budget cuts.
Physical Therapy Associates has been an ongoing financial supporter of this organization, most recently we created the Kids Triathlon in Comstock Park. Kids ages 6-13 swim, bike, run and have fun and all proceeds of the event go to support the programs of Active 4 Youth. We look forward to continuing to grow our contribution for children in our community through Active 4 Youth.
